What you will do
The role is initially a temporary role for 18 months to support the EMEA Regional Tax team while project relating work is on-going. It is highly likely permanent opportunities will become available for the right candidate.
How you will do it
As a key member of the Corporate Tax team, maintaining trusted relationships with business leaders, learning the profiles of our business’, and providing tax advice on cross-border issues.
Responsible for taking the day-to-day lead on direct tax matters across UK, Ireland, Nordic, and Middle East Region.
Supporting our high-performing Corporate Tax function in implementing tax strategies and structures to maintain the group’s effective tax rate.
Monitor legislative activity and existing tax strategies and positions and communicating changes.
Assist with due diligence on target acquisitions in the region.
Support claiming of tax incentives and cash management strategies.
Prepare, review, and analyse financial information to respond to tax authority investigations.
Support our compliance centre of excellence in providing local expertise and value-add review of compliance and reporting life cycles.
Assist with other corporate taxation matters such as SAO provisions, SOX compliance and review of country-by-country reporting across the region.
Qualifications
What we look for
Required
A tax professional with corporate tax or international tax experience.
Understanding and knowledge of Local GAAP.
Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Capacity to quickly understand and digest complex business arrangements, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions for challenges and obstacles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Proven track record of delivery and meeting deadlines.
Preferred
CTA, ACA, or CA qualified.
Experience of a fast-paced high-performance culture in a large multi-national enterprise.
Solid knowledge of financial systems such as HFM, ERPs.
An ability to speak a Scandinavian language or Arabic would be welcomed.
