About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly talented, far-sighted, meticulous and detail-oriented Senior Engineering Manager for native mobile app development for iOS and Android platforms. The prospective candidate should be capable of building a world class mobile app Development team along with owning, creating and executing the engineering app roadmap, managing the engineering app delivery pipeline, motivating the team to follow the best SW Development processes and tools for improving productivity, app resilience and performance. Additionally, he should be able to coordinate with other engineering teams towards collaborative goals.

What you’ll do:

Recruit, build, manage, and mentor a highly talented team of mobile app developers.
Work closely with Product Management in the creation of the mobile app Roadmap.
Own the e2e delivery of the mobile apps by adhering to SW Development process.
Planning and executing projects efficiently with long-term strategies that benefit the organization and team. The process includes feature estimation, resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
Provide strategic technology leadership for the team with rational and logical reasoning.
Review product delivery quality, security, performance, provide improvement feedback and implement recommendations.
Identify and address the performance bottlenecks for the team and team members collaborating with Senior Engineering Leadership.
Identify KPIs for each team member, success metrics for teams, and monitor their progress regularly.
Maintain regular 1-to-1s with all team members to provide feedback, discuss concerns, and mentor their career development.

We’d love for you to have:

Education: BE/ME/M.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science from a recognized University/Colleges of India.
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in developing a mobile app development ecosystem – iOS and Android.
Experience: Leading 6-10 iOS and Android mobile app development team members
Experience: Project Planning and all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience: Designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, reusable, and reliable native mobile apps.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must have published highly efficient and optimized Mobile apps (Android, iOS) on App Stores.
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies
Nice to have:: Experience with RESTful APIs, 3rd party libraries, and JSON to connect Android applications to back-end services
Nice to have: Contribution in 3rd party open source libraries.
Nice to have: Knowledge of google analytics or other analysis packages, A/B testing.
Nice to have: Experience in automation testing of native android and iOS apps
Nice to have: Exposure to other Mobile Platforms: Windows Mobile, Xamarin, Hybrid frameworks.
