We create software solutions for critical national infrastructure:
We provide real-time performance insights to operational teams in rail and local authorities, enabling staff to deliver bottom-up continuous improvement.
We provide real-time, data driven infrastructure health insights on some of the UK’s most iconic structures through our infrastructure monitoring platforms, enabling operational teams to safely manage these structures.
The role
The Information Services & Platforms team is recruiting for a Developer.
This is an entry-level role. We are happy to bring people into the team with varying levels of experience and support them to grow into a Full Stack Developer or Data Engineer.
You’ll be part of a development team that develops software solutions to solve data centred problems.
We’re looking for someone with experience in a commercial, academic, or open-source project using some of the following
Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, C/C++, Go, Rust or other modern language
Bash, PowerShell
PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server
Azure or AWS
Knowledge of the following would be a bonus:
We need someone that has an interest in the practical and theoretical elements of data engineering and gaining experience in deployment, scaling and management of services.
Docker, Kubernetes
ARM Templates, Terraform
DevOps pipelines, Jenkins
You’ll work alongside colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team to identify and deliver improvements to critical national infrastructure.
We’re looking for someone that can communicate technical information to mixed technical / non-technical audiences and is able to contribute to fast-paced, agile projects with support from Full Stack Developers or Lead Full Stack Developers.
