Job Description : The Software Engineer at UnifiedCommunications (UC) is a developer who leads by example. They regularly take on the most complex technical tasks and consistently make significant contributions to all areas of our e-commerce platform. This person is a key contributor to new features being groomed and planned by their team. Their application knowledge is indispensable in this area. This individual will have deep expertise in a variety of UC services, and directly contribute to the management of UC’S technical infrastructure build a future-proof roadmap for our applications.This Software Engineer is a go-to technical resource for anyone in the broader Unified technology organization. Finally, the Software Engineer is well versed in translating “plain English” into technical requirements and vice versa, communicating with customers at both technical and project management levels and ensuring that key requirements and milestones are communicated and adhered to on both sides.If this you, apply today!Responsibilities:Architect, build, and maintain scalable and high-quality production-level services, both by enhancing existing solutions and, where needed, by developing entirely new solutions.Write clean, well-tested code that is also performant and secure.Perform peer code reviews.Mentor junior developers (onsite and offshore) to develop their technical expertise and provide technical guidance that helps them reach their potential.Support the Unified’s software platform in production environments and help diagnose and fix operational issues within your area(s) of expertise.Be a technical leader of an agile team, helping refine projects down to estimable units of work and finishing that work to meet the team’s definition of done.Collaborate with Product Management and other teams inside and outside Unified to scope and implement new features.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must speak English!5+ years of experience developing, testing, shipping, and supporting production quality web services.Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of Azure architectures, including VMs, SQL, Azure SQL, APIM, DevOps services.Also demonstrates expert-level knowledge of Javascript UI frameworks (NuxtJS / Vue preferred), NodeJS backend development, unit testing (Jest preferred), .NET development, HTML and UI development using Nunjucks and CSS libraries (TailwindCSS preferred).Possess solid understanding of API’s development using REST JSON/XML, security standards e.g., OAUTH, OpenID Connect and SAML.Experience with a hosting provider, preferably Azure.Experience mentoring junior team members.Commitment to quality and the craft of software development.Passion for learning new things.Comfortable being a part of a globally distributed product development team and with team members having diverse skill levels and experience.Good communicator and capable of appropriately engaging in constructive conflict.Job Types: Full-time, Regular / PermanentSchedule:Evening shiftExperience:Programming: 1 year (Preferred)
