In this role, you will:
Manage and develop teams of engineering managers and more experienced engineering leads in roles with moderate complexity and risk
Partner with more experienced product leaders, lead systems architects, and engineering managers to develop product functional and technical strategies for the line of business product portfolio, and with more experienced product leaders to drive strategic outcomes
Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
Engage and influence more experienced product leaders, lead systems architects, and engineering managers who are either associated with the function or affected by its outcomes
Identify and recommend opportunities for continuously improving software engineering practices and productivity of teams
Determine appropriate strategy and actions of business line product portfolio teams to meet moderate to high risk deliverables, providing expertise and thought leadership in the portfolio domain
Interpret and develop actionable strategies and plans for engineering teams and supported areas
Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to line of business strategic priorities
Support financial forecast and budget development
Recommend risk management requirements for supported area and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Collaborate with and influence stakeholders, more experienced product leaders, and all levels of professionals, including senior managers
Act as the primary interface with third party vendors and technology service providers supporting products within the portfolio
Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry forums
Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Software Engineering
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
PTCT – Payments, Treasury and Customer care Technology group aims to provide technology across Payments, Customer channels, Treasury Solutions (ACH, Wire, Commercial Card, Real time Payments, Lockbox, Sweeps, Zelle Pay, Push2Card, Desktop deposits) in the form of Services, Solutions, Software, Products and helps Commercial Banking CIO group to move forward in transforming the technology organization. This includes collaborating with Risk Management, Enterprise Architecture, Strategy, Shared Service and Infrastructure teams

About the Role

As part of Wells Fargo Technology team, this is a leadership position responsible for managing a team of highly skilled technologists towards change the bank (BA, Dev, and Testing) efforts for a portfolio of applications in a PTCT at WF India. The incumbent will be a technical expert playing the lead role for a change the bank responsibility for a functional and product area. This is a hands -on technology leadership role primarily responsible for the application development, maintenance and project delivery for a portfolio of applications within Treasury and Payments. The role encompasses technical & functional expertise , people leadership and stakeholder management. The incumbent will be supporting change programs across Payments domain applications.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple teams engaged in development/support of Payments Applications under Treasury.
Accountable for technology transformation with various responsibilities that include: technical thought leadership, people management, reviewing, assessing and managing quality of work, leading projects, developing a technology strategy and managing business relationships.
Interact effectively and manages the partnership with line of business and technology stakeholders to deliver successful business results.
Essential Qualifications:

Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent and must have 20+ Years of overall experience and proven record of leading and managing a minimum team of 25+ Direct Technology Team members
Expert in developing applications leveraging Java Stack, Spring Boot, UI Technologies (ReactJS, Angular, JQuery), Web Services / Micro Services, Data streaming, DevOps tools, Design Patterns & Cloud Platform enablement with engineering focus
Provide technical & functional ownership of delivery to manage multi-release projects in AGILE and Waterfall methodologies
Ability to drive technology evaluations and provide direction to team
Deep dive into solution design and code to provide engineering solutions in line with industry standards
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills in resolving complex technical problems
Ability to motivate team to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
