Job Description : Web DeveloperAn exciting opportunity has arisen at our office in Colwyn Bay/Liverpool. We would like to welcome experienced Web Developers to apply to join our team. You will report to the Marketing Director and will help to lead development of our web presence in order to encourage investors and promote holiday rentals with ourselves.Actually Group is proud to have created the future of lodge design and is one of the UK’s most innovative leisure development companies, specialising in creating luxury holiday parks and hotels in the UK’s most desirable locations.We are ambitious for our business, and more specifically for each and every one of our employees. We are dedicated to providing an opulent staycation experience to our customers across all areas of the business and we look for this commitment in our employees.Responsibilities:As a Web Developer you will oversee a variety of duties during your workday. These duties can vary depending on business needs. Some of the most common responsibilities that you will carry out include:· Write code in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as PHP or JavaScript.· Plan and prototype new applications and webpages.· Decide on the best technologies and languages for our projects.· Test our sites and applications in different browsers and environments.· Problem-solve, fix bugs in existing projects· Test new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the correct task in all cases.· Run performance benchmarking tests.· Build and test Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for applications to exchange data.· Learn and test new technologies, frameworks and languages.· Stay up to date with new trends and advancements in web development.· Build and maintain databases.· Carry out code refactoring and optimisation of existing code.· Document code, so other developers can understand and contribute to it.· Liaise with the Marketing Director and wider team to plan and execute changes to the Actually Group platforms and ensure they meet business needs.Requirements:As a Web Developer you will use a variety of skills during daily duties. A successful candidate will have various prerequisite skill and qualifications, that include:· Technical knowledge in areas such as client-side components, server-side languages, web application frameworks and database management systems· Every day understanding of WordPress and Craft· experience with version control systems, and a thorough understanding of the architecture of web applications and web security and encryption· Attention to detail· A logical approach to problem solving· The ability to work independently and as part of the wider business.· Experience of development methodologies.· The ability to manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlines· Strong communication skills.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentThe office is based in Colwyn Bay. Hybrid working is an option however the candidate would be required to work in the office 2-3 days a week.Salary: £35,000- £50,000 per year dependent on experience.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per yearBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayExperience:Web development: 3 years (preferred)
