Job Description : ARTS & MULTIMEDIA ASSOCIATE VOLUNTEER (WEB DEVELOPER)About YouthplomacyYouthplomacy is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan, youth-led platform that caters to young people interested in global affairs, diplomacy, and gastronomy to connect and collaborate. From international politics to the environment, our objective is to make foreign issues and diplomacy accessible, appealing, and relevant to the general public who have little or no interest in international issues. We also aim to educate and promote multilateralism to youth and students. We believe it is critical to work and collaborate with people from different spectrums, to find common ground and address complex global challenges, Such as the emergence of isolation, polarization, and populism, to issues such as the environment, sustainable development, and maritime issues—all delivered in a casual, educative, and innovative way.Our objectives are Informing, Educating, Inspiring & Collaborating, and our areas of interest include Diplomacy, Global Affairs & Gastronomy.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Arts and Multimedia associate, your assignments will include (butare not limited to) : Updating and maintaining Youthplomacy’s website.Assisting with publishing content by proofreading, editing, and postingtext and graphics.Ensuring all content produced and made public on our website isvisually engaging and top-caliber.Attending bi-weekly team meetings as well as department meetingsto report and provide input.Making recommendations for improvement where feasibleWorking with the strategic communication team and other relateddepartment to produce designs for website posts.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?A creative, passionate individual with an eye for detail with knowledgeof web design and thinking creatively.Familiarity with website editing platforms and technologies(WIX)An eye for detail with good organization and planning skills is verydesirable.
