Roles & Responsibilities
Role Purpose /Background/Nature of Work – Delivery, Operational Leadership or Strategy

This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day to day deliverables for the team.
The role holder will:
assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery.
research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards.
contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, security compliance, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
contribute expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

Resource Complexity – People, Process, Financial & System Leadership
This role holder will be supervising a team of 2 CloudOps Engineers.
Mentor the team in Technical Competencies and share weekly technical mailers
Interface with the customer for issue resolution, provide status updates, Build customer confidence through various technical solutions suggestions.
Participate in discussions with Application Team to gather scope information and perform analysis of scope information in order to provide inputs for project scope documentation.
Work with Teams from Application, Cloud CoE, Security, Infrastructure and Release Management teams to arrive at the success criteria, design and evaluation of the solution.

Problem Solving – Routine, concrete, complex or conceptual
Design and evaluate the solution in the existing landscape.
The integration with existing tools, platforms and processes.
Assist in the design and define DevOps strategy for Cloud Platform specifically in Infra as Code (IaC), Application Pipeline, Data Pipeline.
Design for scalability, performance and no downtime requirements.
Review list of identified app inventory for tech refresh, dependencies, data and security for interconnected apps.
Review and Assist in mapping the apps to tech refresh buckets (Re-engineer, Migrate to cloud, stay as-is and evaluate to retire) based on complexity, business criticality and other defined criteria.
Review, Assist and Recommend Technology, Product/Tool set for migration and transformation, Cloud Migration Strategy and Roadmap, Architecture for Reengineered apps.
Review and Assist in defining Reference Architecture, cost savings for Legacy modernization.
Hands-on in working with the AWS environment and manage the implementation and deployment of systems to achieve optimal performance and high availability in Cloud.
Ensure effective deployment, monitoring, reporting, security, and life-cycle management solutions services.
Present and communicate the solution, recommendations, and challenges to the CxO community and other stakeholders as required.

Timeframe for decision making – The timeframe over which plans are created and delivered. Will become longer and more strategic with higher grades.
Longest target completion time of tasks likely to be 1 month or may be specified in Service Level Agreement.

Build effective working relationships across relevant teams in Cloud CoE, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Applications and Security Compliance.

External Network – Customer Liaison and/or Strategic Relationship
Build effective working relationships across relevant teams as required in e.g.: o Outsourced/offshore resolver groups – (e.g. WNS, Vodafone, DXC).
Other third-party resolver groups (e.g. IBM, Microsoft, SCC, TCS, Wipro etc)
Other suppliers including IBM, Dell, Microsoft, etc.

Risk Management and Governance [Please choose the applicable to Non- Manager or Manager Role]
To self -Identify issues arising from controls weaknesses (Inadequate/Ineffective controls) notes from control assessments, risk events/incidents happened.
To have adequate controls to reduce number of regulator breaches and ensure there are no recurrence events.

Education Qualifications
Minimally, Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
AWS Cloud Expertise Certifications.

Required Capability:
Over 5 years of expert understanding and experience in development and troubleshooting various technologies including Cloud and Systems automation, enterprise network communications/protocols, Windows and Linux authentication and authorization, Virtualization technologies (AWS, VMWare), enterprise networking, encryption standards, technologies and related elements.
Experience in the overall design and implementation of modern cloud infrastructure and associated containerization and software development platforms.
Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ECS, Fargate, Load Balancers)
Experience Creating and implementing CI/CD deployments (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus) to cloud environments, Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments, and shared common services.
Experience writing automated scripts for deployment and configuration into AWS and/or automation technologies like Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, Salt Stack, Chef, Puppet or similar.
Excellent scripting and task automation skills utilizing Python, Perl, Ruby, Java or PowerShell.
Experience with container technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service (ECS) etc.
Hands-on experience working with Jenkins, Octopus, GitLab or similar CI/CD platforms.
Excellent working knowledge of Linux (CentOS/RHEL) and Windows systems administration.
Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority.
Hands-on experience with Java/ SpringBoot or .Net/ .Net Core and microservices architecture style and the related design patterns.
Hands-on experience on PostgreSQL DB and / or DB2/ MsSQL/ noSQL.
Experience migrating applications to the AWS cloud.
Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
