Job Description : The HR Services center of excellence provides operational and support services for Microsoft HR processes and programs, with primary areas of focus being employee support services, core HR operations (HR data administration, pre-hire, onboarding, offboarding, benefit and leave administration, immigration etc.), business process optimization, HR digital solutions, and project management. The success of the HR Services organization is critical to the overall effectiveness of HR and our ability to ensure consistent and great employee and manager experiences companywide.
The HR Services Regional Immigration Service Manager is a key role in ensuring the delivery of great Immigration & Relocation experiences for our employees through quality HR processes drive an agenda of continuous improvement. This role requires management excellence to lead a service line team, thought-leadership to drive consistency in processes & services aligned to Global/Functional/Local policies to exceed performance expectations, contribution to the global end-to-end process design that enhances the employee experience, and use of data, insights, and voice of the customer framework to identify trends and improvement opportunity areas for operational quality and efficiency. The Regional scope of this role spans across 41 countries and over 18,000 employees in APAC, Australia, India and Middle East Africa. To be successful in this role, the individual in this position will need to excel at: Leadership, Operational Execution, Customer Service, Analytical Problem Solving, Communications, Collaboration and People Management.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for E2E Immigration & Relocation operations in the region of APAC, Australia, India and Middle East Africa
Ensure Immigration & Relocation policy and processes adherence
Interpret immigration policies and make decisions working with COE teams on any scenario raised as an exception to policy
Ensure that all the countries in the region are compliant with the immigration laws and practices by partnering with the Immigration vendors and Legal teams
Manage and engage immigration service partners
Ensure all immigration related audits are conducted at the appropriate time as defined by the local immigration laws
Prepare analysis or reports to measure supplier/vendor performance and engage in immigration vendor selection, change management, and implementation
In partnership with the global immigration operations team, continuously identify areas of process improvement, standardization and future investment to drive efficiency and improved employee experience (e.g. more relevant self-service content, streamlined processes, etc.)
Partner with the Delivery teams to implement changes and enhancements as appropriate
Ensure HR Data integrity and compliance through accurate management of immigration records for all foreign nationals as well as of vendors
Continuously strive to gain customer satisfaction and mitigate reasons for service complaints
Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, desk-top procedures, knowledge-based content
For the team you manage, help employees identify growth opportunities, develop skills and build development plans
Collaborate with all other Service lines at the Delivery Center to provide the best employee experience
Collaborate with the other regional immigration counterparts to share and implement best practices
Model Microsoft values and play a significant role in the company’s Culture transformation
Qualifications
Standards/Procedures – The knowledge, adherence and updating of standards and procedures associated with Immigration and Relocation across this Region
Consulting – The skill to influence others, develop and maintain working relationships, and deliver results and/or expertise for a client in a professional manner.
Legal and Regulatory Requirements – Knowledge of the rules, regulations, sanctions and other statutory requirements, guidelines, and instructions relating to governing bodies and organizations, both internally and externally.
Process Design – The ability to determine the workflow, equipment needs, and implementation requirements for a process
Good knowledge around basic immigration laws in the region that the candidate will support.
E2E process understanding, ability to develop and maintain E2E processes, Desk Top Procedure and Knowledge base
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Demonstrated vendor management experience with ability to measure and report vendor performance.
Must have strong planning, coordination and organizational skills
Ability to make decisions that impact customer service levels with a sense of urgency
Experience in implementing immigration and mobility processes across different countries.
Solid knowledge and proficiency in Visio, Access and Excel; MS Project proficiency a plus
Strong Project management skills, influencing skills and ability to Train the team on an ongoing basis
Highly collaborative and networking
8-10 years of experience in immigration & mobility handling both domestic and international relocations.
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
