OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The SAP BO expert reports to Delivery Manager. Responsible for developing and maintaining the SAP BO Architecture, which will also include implementing the SAP BO upgrade, Support packs. Optimizing the user security and roles.

Location : Position will be based in Bangalore

Willing to travel occasionally for onsite meetings and team workshops as required

RESPONSIBILITIES : –

Collaboration & team efforts:
Design and implement SAP BO architecture, coordinating Solutions architects and business Key Users from an application perspective, and in strong relation with business teams.

Contribute to animate and reinforce BI and Data Analytics governance, and support business in pre-studies.

Ensure collaboration with BI & Data Analytics manager and Functional Architects that business cases are setup for each initiative, and that for each Métier a clear vision of the roadmap is formalized.

Establish standards, guidelines, checklists and processes for architectural development and compliance.

Lead and facilitate the creation of governing architecture principles to help steer information, technology and related

investment decision making.

Collaborate with other analytics team along with subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive and operationalize analytical deployment.

Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions Conduct research from which you’ll develop prototypes and proof of concepts.

Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results.

2.Contribution and validation of Projects scoping

Ensure that the ADD (Architecture Design Document) are all up-to-date, Complete the ADD for each new improvement of the Platforms

Maintain the CMDB and all the documents repository for all the platforms

Contribute to and validate project scoping on SAP BO general design and b-case.

Ensure b-case follow up(value realization). Ensure handover to projects teams. Involved in gates validation Collaborate with the Shared Service Center on the scoping of complex uses cases delivered in Service Mode, Collaborate with the Project Delivery team on the scoping of complex uses cases delivered in Project Mode.

3.Solutioning & support to Delivery & Run teams:
Apply architectural concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements,

such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility,availability and manageability.

Provide technical expertise to propose level of effort estimates , work breakdown structures and technical resource planning for proposed and current work to support the

Demand Management process. Gain buy-in on proposed solutions Review the ongoing implementation solution for improvement opportunities.

Facilitate communications between IS workgroups and business stakeholders for technical issues and/or major changes; acting as the technical domain subject matter expert.

Ensures technology solutions are production ready and meet the defined specifications, and that the solution can be maintained via production support methodologies and

resources.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
10+ years of experience with SAP technologies ( SAP BO, BI, HANA, SAC)

8+ years of experience with SAP BO 4.2. Minimum of 2 years of experience with Azure/On Premise BO. Strong knowledge on migration of Analytical solution from on premise to Azure cloud platform.

Hands on Exposure to Design and develop report using SAP BO 4.2 by using Webi/Dashboard etc.

Strong knowledge and Experience in provisioning of infrastructure for SAP BO.

Strong knowledge and Experience with/involvement in data governance Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL development and managing BI and BO platforms.

Hands on experience on BO Admin and Security experience on the following topic like Configuring servers

Scheduling the reports , Create users and user groups ,Create user access levels and provide the access to users ,Start and stop the BO servers ,Clone the servers, Organizing the objects (Delete, move, edits)

Managing BOBJ license ,BIAR Backup, Managing web server and SIA, Managing CMC and CMS.

Exposure working with cloud-based data and analytics platform implementation – AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Experience with/involvement in data governance is plus.

Strong hands on experience with Analytics Tool like, AFO, QLIK , Power BI etc

Working knowledge of relational database design and data modeling.

Have a technical background and be willing to learn and investigate new technologies.

Able to demonstrate the ability to use this technical knowledge in collaboration with

other departments (engineering, procurement, projects)

Be able to demonstrate a solid financial understanding and be able to monitor and control a budget.

An entrepreneurial mind set willing to think out of the box – Intellectual Curiosity & creativity.

Having solution orientated mindset and be pragmatic in execution. Take the lead and be autonomous Proven planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Good to Have

1. Knowledge / Experience on any one of the SAP Analytics platform SAP BW, BW4HANA, or Native HANA.

2. SAP Certification on BO 4.2

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering /Technology or related field
