The Client
Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with a specialist Private Hospital located in Croydon, who are currently in search for a Senior Staff Nurse to join their team on the Wards. This well-established hospital offers a full range of services including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, General Surgery, Cosmetics, Women’s Health, Physiotherapy and Endoscopy, as well as having an excellent Pre-Assessment and Outpatient Service.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will work as part of the specialised team to provide effective, evidence-based and patient focused care within the Wards. You will be caring for surgical patients covering a range of specialities, including Orthopaedics, Cosmetics, Gynaecology, Urology and General.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, would will be a key team member offering expert knowledge and support to the junior Nurses and Healthcare Assistant. Additionally, you will deputise in the Ward sisters absence, ensuring the smooth running of the department. There is a huge amount of opportunity that comes with this role, so this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress in their career.

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked a mixture of long days and on average 3-4 night shifts per month. In order to be successful with this opportunity, you will need to be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMC registration.

Requirements

RGN qualification
NMC registration
Previous experience working in an acute setting, either NHS or Private Sector
Experience developing others and acting/working in a senior capacity
Natural leader
Passion for high quality patient care
Problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills

Salary and Package
There is a generous salary of up to £38,000 per annum on offer, which could be negotiated dependent on experience.
