At the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 physiotherapist to work with the Community Rehabilitation Team in Penwith
You will be working across the Penwith area, carrying out assessments and treatments in the patients’ home, with the ability to practice and develop your skills and experience in rehabilitation. You will be working within a wide and innovative MDT including nurses, Occupational Therapists and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
Regular clinical supervision and training opportunities will be provided. You will experience shared clinical education of physiotherapy students and be responsible for allocating work to and supervising support workers and more junior team members.
Your clinical duties will involve providing high quality Physiotherapy assessments and treatments to a mostly older frail population with multi-pathology / long term conditions and acute medical complications with a strong focus on team working. You must have excellent communication and health coaching skills with an empathetic and caring nature.
The post involves visiting patients in their own homes, which includes care homes, so access to a car is essential. There is also access to a gym for those patients able to attend an outpatient setting. The Community Rehabilitation Team is based at Bellair Health Centre in Penzance

Protected CPD time for registered staff

A full clinical induction programme for operational skills
Access to a care certificate programme for our band 1-4 clinical staff
A bespoke and robust preceptorship programme to support newly qualified staff
