Job Description : Counted recruitment are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a great service business based in Rubery. The role will see you play a crucial part in a large finance team.
Main duties of this Assistant Accountant role include:
Calculate accruals and prepayments for the month end Rent and Franchise Fee charges
Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Take action on any reconciling items within the account
Maintain the Cashflow forecast file on a weekly basis
Submit sales statement to managing agents
Responsible for accurate and timely payment of rental and franchise fee charges
Respond to any queries form internal and external stakeholders
Provide support with audit preparation for annual ad interim audits
Compete turnover certificates in a timely manner
Location / Office / Hours
The business is fantastically located on a large business park in new offices, with parking. The company works a hybrid structure of 2 days in the office and 3 days a week from home.
Culture, Ownership and Industry
A listed PLC, this business is a large multi £bn logistics business, with a finance team of around thirty in the UK. The business has been constantly growing over the last few years and are now looking to add a new accountant who will grow with them.

The ideal candidate will have a real blend of management accounting meanwhile being able to help assist the wider accounting team. The role is very varied and holds an opportunity to have a genuine commercial impact with a growing company. This role is ideal for an ACCA/CIMA studier.
