Java Developer
Location: Pune, India
Description:
BMC Software is seeking a Java Developer to augment an established Marketing web development and QA team. As a Java Developer you will be creating and maintaining software to improve the company’s customer-facing marketing properties including an international web presence and lead generation web forms. You will be collaborating with stakeholders to discern complex business requirements and build maintainable solutions. An ideal candidate understands and can utilize the full web stack from the server side to the client. The position resides within a fast-paced environment involving rapid development cycles in a web marketing team that values solid software development practices and quality code.
Responsibilities:
You will be developing CMS-focused software solutions on the AEM Web Content Management platform.
You will be collaborating with fellow developers, product managers, and designers to create a feature-rich site
You will be work ingwith QA team to identify and resolve defects
You will supporting system integrations
You will be participating in the overall technical strategy of BMC’s marketing web properties
You will be diagnosing and resolving functional and technical issues in the CMS and sibling applications
Maintain an attitude of quality, diligence, and thoroughness while immersed in an otherwise fast-paced and dynamic environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of Java Web Development experience.
Strong Experience in
Building and maintaining Java-based applications & websites.
Building java-based web services, rest services and java servlet technologies
Java annotations, java data structures, Server-side JavaScript
Web templating engines, ideally Java-based (e.g., JSP, Apache Velocity, XSLT)
Experience working in front end technologies such as CSS, JS , jQuery , json , XML.
Working knowledge of Git SCM
Experience with Apache Maven build automation and Jenkins CI a plus
Comfortable working as part of a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team
Knowledge or exposure to AEM based development will be a bonus but not mandatory.
