Job Description : Southern Antennae Limited is an established, family run Audio, Visual, CCTV & Door Entry company based in Broadstairs, Kent. We have an opening for a Sage Bookkeeper with excellent knowledge of the Sage Line 50 accounting package to manage the financial, payroll and VAT functions of the business. The position is part time with a minimum 3x days per week*.The successful candidate will be required to have proven knowledge of working with the Sage Line 50 accounting package and be able to provide recent references.* As described above, this is first & foremost a part time Bookkeeping position but there is also the optional possibility of extra hours/days to be added on to this role in order to undertake extra office & administration duties (this can be discussed at interview). The role consists of the following: Use Sage Line 50 to undertake all accounting procedures including VAT and management accounts. Process all financial transactions relating to the Sales and Purchase ledgers. Processing bank transactions and regularly reconciling all bank and credit card accounts. VAT returns (cash accounting) including submission to HMRC.Credit Control – Following up on overdue accounts and getting monies in on time, dealing with late payers through the small claims courts if necessary.Billing – Knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Using Sage and in house systems to produce valuation and final billing.Ideal Candiate: In depth experience of Sage Line 50Excellent Microsoft Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent Communication Skills – you will be required to liaise and work closely with our clients, company accountant, office staff and our managing director.Should be familiar with Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to be flexible in line with the needs of the team/businessClear verbal and written communication skillsIt would be of an advantage but not essential to have knowledge of the following: Sage Payroll – Collating information to process and understanding all aspects of payroll and pensions, PAYE and furlough applications. Training will be provided should the successful candidate not have previous experience with Sage Payroll.Salary: Part time (3x days) – £16’000 to £18’000.
