About Pratham Digital

Pratham Digital aims to create an open learning mechanism enabling children and youth to prepare for school, work and life.

The various programs work on a hybrid model of learning involving digital content, technology and hands on experimentation. Pratham Digital has produced over 7000 videos, 1000 games and stories in English and 12 Indian languages. These resources can be viewed on www.prathamopenschool.org

Pratham strives to make content engaging and interesting for learners. With the focus on creating contextualized content, the program curates and/or creates different courses, making learning a choice driven process.

Pratham’s digital content falls under three important domains – Learning for School, Learning for Work and Learning for Life.

About Learning for Life
We at Pratham Digital believe that to lead a good life in today’s world, one needs to be, among other things –
Physically, mentally, emotionally healthyConscious about the environment for sustainable futureCreative in developing skillsSocially conscious of the society and world around them.
As the name suggests, ‘Learning for Life’ domain focuses on these important aspects of lifelong learning by integrating 21st century skills, socio-emotional learning and sustainable development goals.

In a hybrid model, the domain works on 4 major buckets –
Creative ArtsEnvironmentHealthUnderstanding Society

This involves creating age appropriate digital content, running awareness campaigns in the community, organizing workshops, conducting various courses and activities with children and youth. For these purposes, Life domain collaborates with various subject experts and external partners.

Content Developer (Health) – Roles and Responsibilities
Creating ‘Health literacy’ is an important objective of the Learning for Life domain. We are looking for a content developer who can contribute and support timely creation of content packages.
This would include –
Identifying and researching key health topics/problems in IndiaIdeating and planning content productionIdentification and communication with various subject experts and partnersCreating assessmentsCreating and executing training and implementation plans

Responsibilities –
Coordinate with different teams within Pratham as well as external partners to create and/or curate effective health contentConduct workshops and webinars with health expertsDesign campaigns and activities based on the requirements of your target group or programDesign yearly plans for the health bucket and ensure timely creationConduct and monitor pilots and/or roll out of programs

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

Required:
Minimum graduate degree (In medicine, pharmaceutical, psychology, medical social work would be advantageous but not necessary)Basic subject knowledgeAbility to think and contribute ideas, suggestions in every stage of content productionStrong command over written (typing) and oral English and Hindi (Any other Indian language would be advantageous)Excellent communication skills to coordinate with health experts, doctors and external partnersAbility to organize and manage multiple tasks efficientlyProficient in use of MS Word, Excel, PPT, Google DriveWillingness to travel to field areas on requirement basis

Essential Soft Skills:
Proactive and self-motivatedAbility to learn on the jobAbility to resolve issues and obstaclesCreative thinkingGood team player as well as capacity to individually handle a projectLeadership qualities

Preferred:
Work experience in the field of health, medical social work or digital content creationAbility to write scriptsAudio-visual editing skillsAbility to design on Canva

Number of Positions: 1
This is a full-time position on a yearly contract basis.

Location: Mumbai or Delhi or Pune (Remote working till offices re-open)

Remuneration:
Remuneration will be finalized on the basis of experience and skill sets. (Negotiable for exceptional candidates)

Apart from menstrual health and hygiene, identify the major health issues that Pratham should address and create awareness on for young adults between the ages of 14 to 18. How can digital content (not necessarily internet based) be used to create health literacy on these topics across different states in India?
