Job Description : The Engineering Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Perform system and application monitoring, capacity planning and systems tests to ensure products meet performance requirements
Evaluate technologies, develop prototypes, contribute to design issues, and implement solutions
Work with various internal and external teams to identify and resolve problems
Consult with end users and clients to identify and correct systems problems or propose solutions
Assist in the development of software and systems tools used by integration teams to create end user packages
Provide support for operating systems and in-house applications, including third party applications, as needed
Perform coding, analysis, testing or other appropriate functions in order to identify problems and propose solutions
Adhere to Citi technology standards, audit requirements and corporate compliance issues and requirements
Apply knowledge of engineering procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to day to day activities
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields
4 to 6 years of experience working as a software developer/architect
Hands-on coding and development experience
Solid experience in Microsoft development tools including Visual Studio 2008/2010 and MS SQL database design
Knowledge around software development life cycle
Extensive knowledge and relevant work experience with a concentration in front end design and backend development for banking applications
Working experience in Imaging and workflow applications preferably in banking environment
Primary Skillset – .Net and Angular
Secondary Skillset – .Net (with Framework 3.5), VB.NET, C#, VC++, SQL, MS SQL Server, Adobe LiveCycle Application Development
Desired Expertise:
.Net / Microsoft Stream
Strong programming experience with .Net Framework, ASP.Net, C#, WCF, MVC, XML, messaging and XSLT. Experience in Angular UI development.
Microsoft SQL Server Database, Analysis, Integration and Reporting Services ASP.Net and client web development
Experience with web service standards
Ability to create secure web services
Expert in software design patterns such as Front-controller, MVC, Interceptors and, Interface-based Software Architecture
Advanced understanding of software test methodologies and testing tools
Strong fundamentals in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging and asynchronous communication
Exposure to technology development projects and the full technology development lifecycle
Ability to write and review documentation and Timely creation of appropriate technical artifacts e.g. Solution Design Documents
Interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a contributing member of virtual teams that deliver quality services
Should be familiar with AGILE methodologies and tools
Understanding/Knowledge of JIRA Workflow is preferable
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
You will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
As a senior developer will be responsible for extending the existing platform through custom development, customization and integration with in-house solutions and vendor solutions leading to a complete platform that caters to key business requirements
Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps
Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications
Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules
Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation
