Job Description : Position Title: Electronics Hardware EngineerPosition at: c3controls Industrial Automation India Pvt Ltd. (c3IA), Marol, MumbaiReports To: Global Engineering Manager, c3IA, Mumbai, IndiaPosition Summary: Responsible for design and development of digital and analog electronics and power electronics systems. Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing. Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, software, and manufacturing engineers. Product level electrical / electronics design including component selection and branch circuit design. To ensures all products (and designs) comply with definedperformance, quality, industrialization, and manufacturing objectives and targets. Supports continuous improvement of product development, manufacturing and customer service.Specific Responsibilities: Performs responsibilities based on knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of electromechanical and electronic products, as follows:Develop and design hardware components including circuit boards, switches, processors, and networking elementsExamine technological specifications and functional requirementsDesign components and systems that will deliver the expected performance while working in tandem with other analog or digital elements of the deviceModifications to existing hardware components and systems based on changes in functional requirements or use casesModify hardware elements to eliminate performance issues that cause the device to malfunction.Component testing throughout the design process, testing theelements individually and in conjunction with otherhardware/softwareAnalyze test data to guide changes, enhance system performance and stability, and eliminate defectsPrepare and maintain documents throughout the design and development process. These can include data regarding equipment specifications, power requirements for digital and analog components, and notes on testing or configurationCollaborate with manufacturing personnel to ensure that elements are built according to specificationsWork closely with fabricators to create a prototype of a design inorder to conduct further testing and modifications and modify the design based on this prototypeProvide feedback to manufacturing teams to update specifications and requirementsWork with software engineers and developers during the development cycle, especially if they are designing hardware for devices that integrate with software systemsIntegrate and validate new product designsParticipate in development and integration of hardware and softwareProvide postproduction supportEnsure continued compliance of c3controls products and designs to required standards (ex. UL, CSA, CE RoHS, etc.).Participate in quality team meetingsColleagues: Firmware Engineers, Electronics Design Engineers, Electrical Design Engineers, Mechanical Design EngineersEducation, Other Requirements: B.E. Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering3 ~ 5 years or more of relevant, applicable work experience, preferably in multinational, multicultural environment.Experience in design of PLC system, programmable relays, and subcomponents such as HMI and understanding of PLC programmingExperience in development and testing of real-time systemsAbility to read schematics, troubleshoot and debug prototypes and production unitsKnowledge of Altium, OrCAD Schematic Capture, PADS PCB LayoutExperience in design of electronics involving physical / communication protocols such as RS232 / 422 / 485 , TCP , EtherNet / IP , USB , UART and SerialExperience in design for EMC, ESD, and Ethernet complianceProven skills with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generatorsWell versed with micro – controllers like Arduino , Odroid , RPi , OpenCR.Experience in analog circuits and digital logic circuitsSoldering and repair skillsStrong technical aptitude a MUSTAdequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for componentsStrong documentation and writing skillsPosition type and hours of work: This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, 11:00am – 8:00pm, 40 hrs per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demandWorking environment: This job operates in a professional office setting.
