DHL are currently looking for a passionate individual to join our Manufacturing and Logistics sector as a Finance Assistant. Experience isn’t essential but what is the attitude and willingness to learn. You will have the opportunity with gaining exposure to multiple contracts including JLR, the press cars site for Volkswagen and many more.

The Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include

Ensuring all purchase orders are raised in accordance with accounting & company guidelines
Process invoices and payments via company corporate and commercial credit cards
Control of purchase ledgers, to ensure correct recording and charging to the customer. Any discrepancies to be resolved in a timely manner
Ensuring robust process and solutions are implemented
Leasing with operations with any queries you or they might have
General administrative duties for site and operation team
Agency Pos and reconcilations
Basic analysis of the General Ledger and positing on journals

To be successful as a Finance Assistant in DHL Supply Chain you need the following:

Effective communication and rapport building skills
Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
A customer centric approach to finance and business operations
A ‘can do’ attitude and the willingness to learn
Motivation for career progression and development
A basic knowledge of the use and meaning of finance metrics and tools
Ability to gather and correlate correct date
Ability to apply DPDHL financial policies to a limited range of activities
