Creates a global blueprint that defines the infrastructure for software development, including enumeration of structural elements and how they work together, automation entry and exit points, usecases, and service metrics required to meet the needs of their customers. Studies business goals and work practices as required to tailor architecture plans to fit operations. Ensures new infrastructure will be compatible with current and future business needs as well as in line with industry best practices and trends. Ensures new infrastructure fits the established architecture, infrastructure, and security systems within the company. May specialize in build and release, test automation, or telemetry.
Qualifications
Expertise in large scale Linux environments and administration is a must. Having experience in coding, Python or Perl is mandatory; GO, and other languages are a plus. Experience in container technologies and cloud-native applications. 3-5 years of experience in working on Docker containers is a must; knowledge of Singularity container technology would be added advantage. Experience in porting applications from Bare-metal to containers. Experience in creating and maintaining Kubernetes cluster; experience in deploying large-scale applications in Kubernetes. Strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD implementation. Clear communication on tech solutions, with structural contents and logic presentation. Systematic problem-solving skills and with reasonably logical thinking and SRE mindset.
