Job Description : DT Resourcing are currently working in partnership with U-Educate, a dedicated Supply Teaching Agency helping to improve the education of children by helping local schools find their perfect staff.They are currently working in close partnership with secondary and primary schools in London and the surrounding areas, assisting them with their recruitment needs.Currently, we are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher for a school in AL7 2BG.Successful Candidates Must Have/Be:- Qualified to teach in the UK (NQTs are welcome to apply!)- An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to apply and pay for one.- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching across KS1 and KS2 in a school environment.- Experience of supporting change at an appropriate kevel including the curriculum, classroom organisation, and administration in a primary school.- Proven experience of high standards of primary classroom practice and of teaching area responsibility.- Evidence of personal and intellectual qualities required to set an example to others and to lead a team.- Respect for the views of parents and a commitment to the importance of the involvement of parents in the learning process.- Evidence of a commitment to excellence and the maximising of academic and personal achievement for all pupils.- An understanding of the different ways in which young children learn and the appropriateness of a variety of teaching styles to meet the individual learning needs of each child.- Organise successfully the curriculum for a class of pupils of mixed abilities, aptitudes, and educational needs through careful planning, preparation, monitoring, and assessment.- Good organisational skills to create and maintain a stimulating and attractive learning environment.- Knowledge and understanding of effective record keeping and its use to promote the educational and personal development of all children within the school.- Ability to maintain effective classroom discipline in a positive manner, promoting well-ordered and self-disciplined behaviour throughout the school.- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate with staff, pupils, and parents.- Computer literate with good IT skills.Ability to self-manage workloads and meet deadlines.- An understanding of the responsibility of the class teacher with regard to the health and safety of pupils in their care.- Commitment to an equal opportunities policy within the school and ensuring that each child’s identity is respected, maintained, and enhanced in a positive way.Roles/Responsibilities:- Work in liaison, contact, and co-operation with other members of staff, pupils, organisations and networks relevant to the teacher’s duties, parents, governors, and the local community.- Work within the framework of national legislation and school policies and guidelines on the curriculum.- Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons appropriate to the needs, interests, experience, and existing knowledge of the pupils in the class.- Set tasks to be undertaken both at school and elsewhere.- Mark and assess pupils’ work whilst recording their academic development, progress, and attainment at school.- Maintain good order and discipline within your classroom and within the school as a whole.- Build and maintain effective relationships with parents and communicate with them on their child’s learning and progress, making sure to highlight positive special skills and talents they may possess whilst also drawing attention to any problems or difficulties in the classroom they might have.- Maintain an attractive and stimulating learning environment and contribute to displays throughout the school as a whole.- Evaluate and review your own teaching methods, materials, and schemes of work, and making necessary changes as appropriate.- Keep up to date with current educational thinking and practice through personal study and attending appropriate training courses.- Adhere to the school’s health and safety policies and ensure that a safe environment for learning as well as their personal growth is maintained at all times.- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of young people within the school.- Embrace and promote the school’s ethics and ethos.Job Types: 2 Terms (potential perm)Start Date: January 2022Salary: Leading industry rates depending on experience.Job Type: Full-time
