Role Purpose:
As a Senior Cloud Engineer for Insight, you will enter a high-energy and tech savvy world. We are looking for someone practical, hands-on experience in cloud application migration and modernization. As a full-time team member, you’ll be migrating and/or modernizing enterprise applications for a global reaching company.

Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities:Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the deliverables generated at each step in the cloud migration and automation lifecycleDeploy and modernize cutting-edge applicationsServe as technical leader and mentor to uplift the skill sets of everyone on the teamEducate and coach teammates on automation and best practices to ensure they are capable owners of their applications after handoffDeliver technical recommendations to team leadership
Be a trusted advisor: Understand and effectively communicate features and limitations in the context of cloud design and cloud automation decisionsUnderstand and effectively communicate features and limitations in the context of cloud environment and workload decisionsHelp manage the design and migration and modernization process, drive decisions, and coordinate efforts with fellow teammatesEnsure designs are in compliance with specifications and design and conduct validationConfigure new applications that serve existing software systems and future cloud stateSupport the team by developing documentation and automation tooling curated with the goal of continuous improvement
Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:6+ years of relevant technology experience and skills as listed belowExpert knowledge of deployment pipelines for cloud-hosted applications – Azure DevOps (primary), Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Harness.io (secondary)Expert knowledge of Cloud resource provisioning templates – Bicep/ARM or Terraform
Experience deploying cloud resources via Infrastructure-as-Code to Microsoft AzureExperience with version control systems primarily GitExperience with binary artifact repositories such as ArtifactoryExperience configuring cloud resources with automation platforms – Ansible, Chef, PuppetExperience with cloud automation and scripting – Powershell, Python, Bash AzCLIKnowledge of Services Oriented Architectures, RESTful Interfaces & Enterprise Application PatternsComfortable in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skillsKnowledge of the principles & patterns of Agile software developmentUnderstanding of established software development life cyclesExcellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skillsEnjoy working collaboratively with a team, while also possessing a strong independent work ethicDesire to continuously improve her/his craft while adhering to best practices and standards
