Job Description : mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers. We are building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app and online, whilst consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.
We’ve just secured our Series A (led by Mastercard) and are about to kick off on an incredible growth journey. We’re looking for driven people to join our team, help scale our operations and create positive merchant experiences through our multi-channel solution.
About the role
We are looking for a proactive Senior QA Engineer, who will be performing manual, explorative and some automated tests to ensure product quality across our in-store products ranging from Dashboards, to Integration solutions with third parties and Android Applications.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to join a high-growth fintech and has an interest in tech and payments and likes the autonomy to actively contribute and lead QA ways of working.
This is a remote first position and can be performed anywhere in Australia for those with working rights. We do prefer applicants living on the East Coast of Australia due to time zones.

Responsibilities
Perform functional and exploratory testing of mx51’s products
Creating test cases, test plans, and other QA documentation
Identify, record and communicate bugs to developers and product managers
Liaise with internal development and product teams to identify potential product limitations and improvements
Train and guide other QA team members to create effective tests
Investigate and implement automated testing of key areas of functionality
Stay up to date with software testing tools and best practices and make significant contributions to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools or methods
Your skills and experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer – particularly in testing eCommerce or similar payment products and web based applications (banking, insurance and EFTPOS)
Experience with test planning and managing test execution for products/systems, and Managing end to end testing
Experienced with API testing using tools such as Postman
Experience using CD / CI tools such Jenkins, Azure DevOps or Bamboo
Experience working in a fast paced agile environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Nice to have:
Experience using front end automation Frameworks using Test Cafe, Cypress, Selenium or similar
Experience with EFTPOS terminals
Android testing experience
Experience testing third party integrations such as identity or payment integrations
Basic knowledge of security testing
