As a Staff Software Architect, you will lead overall Software architecture Digital Delivery Imaging Software Platform, Translate product requirement to platform architecture and design, risk retirement for new features/technology. You will actively contribute to the Imaging Platform team with directions from the various stakeholders aligning to the Imaging business strategy.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
You will be responsible to –
Own the Architecture, high level design & Critical to Quality (CTQ) flow-down for the platform & drives the WWTP-World Wide Technology Plan for platform
Drive the guideline for platform specs to adequate level for analysis/design, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), reliability, prototyping & configuration management.
Drive innovation/simplification in the platform from time to time
Drive regular technical evaluation with Technical Lead /Project Lead (Software Performance Reports, design reviews, design conflicts, Release quality, learnings)
Review/direct problem resolution for showstopper/customer issues on need
Coach/Mentor/Ramp-up team including Technical Lead’s & review/challenge design/estimations & responsible for timelines
Ensuring Balance between business priorities and technical decisions & gets the buy-in accordingly
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related disciplines
12+ years experience in architecting , designing and developing software solutions preferably for Medical Devices or similar systems
Desired Technical Skills
12+ years’ experience in architecting, designing and developing software solutions
Strong software development background with hands on programming (C++/Java/ C# / Python).
Working experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems which cater to serviceability features like remote software update and entitlement/license management
Hands on experience on debugging applications and having proficiency with log analysis using tools such as log parser and/or log stash.
Proven Object-Oriented designer and implementer with strong understanding of software architecture leveraging UML and design patterns.
Experience in API design and development and deep understanding of SOA (Service oriented Architecture)
Experienced in developing microservices and having architected applications based on microservices
Deep understanding of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
Experienced in setting up of DevOps CI/CD -continuos integration & continuos deployment Pipelines for various applications
Excellent communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Demonstrated experience with Imaging device, web and edge/cloud technologies and architecting solutions based on microservice architecture specifically on Medical Devices/Healthcare domain.
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby and/or Perl).
Experince in Object Oriented Programming -OOPS skills.
Demonstrate guide level knowledge and track record on Cloud and related technologies including DevOps Strategies.
Experience working in IOT- Internet of Things frameworks.
Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals
Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle
Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
Has the ability to make basic technology choices based on experience
