Site specifics
Our Birkenhead surgery has been rapidly growing since our opening in 2019 and we are looking for another vet to join our close-knit team. Our new Vet will be joining a dedicated team who are all committed to providing a good standard of care to owners and pets alike while working together as a close-knit team. Our Birkenhead surgery also works closely with our Ellesmere Port surgery, which operates 24/7 and provides a dedicated night service to both surgeries.
Birkenhead is a recent bespoke surgery and is well equipped, with 8 consult rooms, 3 operating theatres and extensive inpatient facilities meaning your working environment will support you. You’ll also have access to the Animal Trust network of 9 surgeries which include in house CT scanning and total hip replacement.

To be successful in this role you’ll have a social heart, be highly skilled and keen to progress in a busy not-for-profit environment. This role would suit a recent graduate looking to elevate your skills learning from our highly experienced team of vets. It’s important that you’re a real team player that enjoys the buzz that comes from working in a fast-paced and high energy surgery.
Our new Vet will also have;
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients during stressful and upsetting situations
Strong organisational skills and an open, honest and trustworthy personality
Job particulars
A mixture of consultations, emergency cases and surgery
40 Hour working week
Salary scale £32,613 – £52,254 + advanced scale for certificate holders
6 weeks holiday, including bank holidays
UK and International CPD funded to certificate level
Private Health Care, 52 Weeks sickness benefit, life assurance and free Employee assistance program — awarded after 12 months of service
