VPZ are the market leading UK based specialist vape and e-cigarette retailer. We currently have over 150 stores across the UK with more store openings on the way. We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our business.
Main Responsibilities:

Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, PHP & SQL
“Full stack” implementation, from back-end code & website function to graphical work and delivering user experience to a high degree.
Integrations & API work for new & existing applications to exchange data
Taking stakeholder briefs and delivering a roadmap of key objectives to achieving the aims of the department and wider business
Documenting all coded applications, so that other developers can liaise with and contribute to the project or task
Creation and maintenance of databases using various architecture, such as SQL
Liaising with outside technical partners to create integrated solutions to standalone applications & projects, or to build new integrations with headless API projects that the business is currently developing.
The ideal candidate will:

Proven track record in delivering large scale web application projects (>3 years)
Qualification or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering and/or Web Design & Development
Experience in client-side components and server languages and infrastructure.
Knowledge & experience in web application frameworks and database management systems
Knowledge & experience in web Security, encryption & data retention policies
A problem-solving attitude and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience amongst stakeholders
The ability to show proficient time management skills, and work with a range of complex tasks towards deadlines.
Reward:
Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
