Main Plant – Shift Maint.

Purpose of the Position
(Why the job exists in the company & the expected outcome)
To provide direction & guidance to team to perform electrical maintenance of LT/HT switchgear equipment, HT/LT Motors, HT/LT Transformer’s, Lead and provides technical direction to craft Subordinates perform various maintenance functions.

Principle Accountabilities
(Strategic, Operational, Financial, People development & growth etc.)
Strategic:- Identify and Implement best practices. Identifying System Improvement through innovative ideas & best practices.
Financial:-To ensure zero downtime and zero forced outage due to failure of electrical systems. To optimise maintenance cost and ensure actual expenses are within approved budget.
People development & growth:- To conduct safety awareness training & technical discussions for contract work force.
Implementation of CHETNA & SMS at my workplace.
Operational:- Organizing & Monitoring Maintenance as per plan. Identifying Spares requirements. Implement work practises
Safety:- Ensure 100% safe work practises at my workplace.

Role & Responsibilities
Carry out CBM, break down maintenance of BTG, BOP, Swyd & CHP in shift.
Day to day job planning. Job scheduling, job allocation & follow up.
Plan outage works. Timely completion of Job.
Apply day to day permit & fill required details in sap.
Comply statutory requirement.
Prepare major job reports & protocols.
Budget Planning & Inventory Management.
Monitor and execution of Annual overhaul maintenance
Interface with other departments to achieve set plant goals
Practice & implement Safety measures for departmental staff to achieve zero accidents goal.
Monitor contractor’s works to perform timely & quality work.
Conducting the awareness programmes for contract workers.
Carry out job safety & risk assessment for all types of jobs.
Prepare job specific JSA.
Identification of Unsafe Act & Unsafe condition for smooth operation in own area.
Inspecting job safety before carrying out the work in own area.

Generator/GT/UT Protection relay testing.
