Accounting and Financial Planning and Analytics are critical components to the business, as it enables us to make data-driven business decisions and plan for future business performance, overseeing the social strategy, and everything else that goes into making our office a happy place to be. In this role you be jointly responsible for the ongoing bookkeeping, financial and regulatory reporting for group companies (PensionBee Group plc and PensionBee Limited). Contributing to ensuring that both group companies are fully compliant with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards.Key responsibilitiesBookkeepingRecording of transactions in the accounting system as they occurProcessing of period end journalsMonitoring automated transactionsInvestigation and clearance of bank reconciling itemsReportingProduction of monthly management accounts.Production of interim and annual consolidated financial statements.Report cash position weekly and key drivers of cash positionProduction of KPIs.Supplier onboardingPerformance of due diligence on suppliers.Verifying suppliers, budget holders and the relevant nominal coding on the accounting systemPaymentsProcessing invoices, credit notes, receipts, and other forms of financial documentationManaging banking limits and approval for paymentsRun due diligence on payments.Processing compensation and rewardsAd HocAssist in provision of information to external auditors.Assist with preparing materials for board and committee meetings and investors.Handling other ad hoc requestsKey objectivesTimely recording and production of accurate financial information.Requirements: The key skills required are: Technical skillsGood working knowledge of financial statements production, bookkeeping and accruals calculationsA good understanding of financial statements components and elementsAn appreciation of accounting standards, IFRS and UK GAAPSound analytical skillsGood problem-solving skills with an excellent awareness of commercial and risk management-based solutions.Attention to detailQualifications and Industry ExperienceQualified AccountantExperience in financial reporting for listed companiesExperience within finance functionExperience in working in a teamGood understanding of UK taxOracle NetSuite knowledge is preferred but not mandatoryVery good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package with an emphasis on Excel and WordWe welcome all candidates and are proud to have been awarded Employer of the Year at the Financial Adviser Diversity in Finance Awards 2020.
