As United Airlines AWS DevOps Engineer, you will bring your exceptional cloud engineering and security expertise to our team to drive security, reliability, and maintainability of our AWS cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage cloud Infrastructure components by leveraging Infrastructure as code.
Demonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments within the technology space and identify which new technologies to adapt to provide value to our business.
Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify, evaluate, and learn new technologies for implementation.
Design, implement, and manage cloud-related security controls that support our cybersecurity programs.
Build and operate tools for monitoring performance and security
Deploy and configure cloud services according to best practice (e.g.: EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, Route53, CloudWatch, KMS, Redshift, S3 and Glacier, Kinesis)
Identify opportunities to automate and/or bring efficiency to technical processes
Identify system or performance issues, and develop resolutions
Participate in troubleshooting of infrastructure and/or application related issues
Produce well-written technical project documentation and operational runbooks
Take ownership of issues and act with high sense of urgency when required
Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost effectiveness and high availability in the cloud.
Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and security standards.
Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams designed to increase productivity.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Qualified candidates should have 5+ years working in a SaaS environment
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with foundational AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, ECS, etc.)
Understanding of serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
Prior knowledge working on serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
1+ years of experience with CloudFormation, Terraform or other IaC solution
Ability to write scripts in JavaScript, Bash, Python, or Typescript or similar languages
Previous experience with Docker and container orchestration
Strong DevOps background (culture, process, and tooling aspects)
Ability to build code pipelines and support deployment activities
Able to work independently and as a team to architect and implement new solutions and technologies
Good written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably at the right level.
Identify evaluate and learn new technologies for implementation.
Must be legally authorized to work in the India for any employer without sponsorship
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Preferred
Hands on experience with AWS CloudFormation
Hands on experience with GitHub Actions
Expertise in design and implementation of complex IT solutions
Awareness of industry best practices and research
The ability to accept and promote diversity in concepts, processes, and outcomes to implement effective business solutions
Hands-on experience writing and deploying AWS Lambda functions
Familiarity with the Travel Industry
AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, or AWS DevOps
