The UCPath Center is the University of California’s shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Technology, the Web Applications Administrator provides support for the UCPath Online Portal which provides HR, pay, and benefit related self service capabilities to all faculty, staff and student employees at the University of California campuses, medical centers, and labs. The Web Applications Administrator will work with the UCPath Center ITSS department, UCOP IT, vendors, business users, and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements, design and deploy Portal technology, enhance the Portal experience, participate in quality assurance activities, and integrate the Portal with Salesforce, Coveo, Cloudflare, PeopleSoft HCM, Single Sign On, and other systems. The Web Applications Administrator will also support the UCPath Center’s Onbase and Sharepoint content management systems.

Web Application Administration and Support
Support the UCPath Online portal which is a critical application that provides HR, pay, and benefit related self service capabilities to all faculty, staff and student employees at the University of California campuses, medical centers, and labs.
Support integrations between the Drupal/InFlight technology based portal and PeopleSoft HCM, Salesforce, Cloudflare, Coveo, and single sign on.
Work closely with other application administrators, IT partners and vendors to manage the Portal as well as triage incoming support requests.
Administer and support the Hyland Onbase and Sharepoint content management systems.
Manage the configuration and system functions such as user groups and permissions, page layout and menu changes.
Ensure optimal efficiency and maintain high standards of service.
Design and implement new features and functionality.
Coordinate deployment activities with IT partners, vendors and stakeholders.
Ensure high-performance and availability.
Ensure solutions meet security requirements and service level agreements.
Support content writers and contributing groups to create and update portal content.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Prioritize, manage, and resolve support tickets.

Business Systems Analysis
Analyze business requirements, and collaborate with others on the design, development, implementation, support and ongoing enhancement of the UCPath Portal, Hyland Onbase, and Sharepoint systems.
Maintain documentation such as functional designs, system architecture designs, workflow diagrams, configuration documentation, technical documentation, and job aids.
Analyze, design, develop, modify, debug, deploy complex software and scripts. Perform complex data analysis and analyze the design and use of complex data sources.
Identify, evaluate and develop complex systems, processes and procedures. Develop complex user interface designs.
Collaborate with training teams, IT partners, and business users to provide knowledge transfer on system functionally and business processes related to the UCPath Online portal and Hyland Onbase system.
Make recommendations for purchase of new solutions and services.

Quality Assurance
Work with the Senior Web Applications Administrator, QA Lead, IT teams and functional users on QA activities.
Work within an agile and/or waterfall environment to identify any issues with product/testing requirements.
Assist with preparation of all prescribed quality assurance artifacts including, but not limited to, test plans and test cases.
Participate and/or review documentation and test results in all quality assurance test phases, such as requirements validation, unit, integration, user acceptance, and regression testing.
Perform quality assurance testing and report issues.
Collaborate with QA leads on automated testing.

Technical Project Management and Leadership
May serve as technical lead for a project of moderate scope.
Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute project activities.
Manage vendors and collaborate with IT teams and key stakeholders to plan and execute project activities.
Provide recommendations to leadership. Effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams at all levels by leveraging excellent written and oral communication skills.
Provider knowledge transfer to other technical and functional resources on the use of new technology.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of three years administering portal and content management systems.
Experience with some of the following. Drupal, Sharepoint, Hyland Onbase, or similar content management systems PeopleSoft HCM or similar ERP system Inflight technology or similar integration solutions Monitoring tools such as New Relic or Datadog Security solutions such as Cloudflare, SSO and DUO
Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications. Experience working with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5/XHTML, CSS or jQuery. Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, or JavaScript/jQuery.
Comfortable working with debugging tools like IE/Chrome/Firefox Development Toolbars, Soap UI, Fiddler, etc.
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
Works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Ability to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of the quality assurance discipline, the defect life cycle management processes, and the software commonly used for test planning and defect tracking such as JIRA. Experience in developing test plans, writing test scripts, developing use cases, overseeing testing activities, and assisting business users through User Acceptance Test processes.
Advanced knowledge of computer security tools, best practices and policies including demonstrated experience securing server-based software. Demonstrated skill at administering moderately complex security controls and configurations to computer hardware, software and networks.
Good interpersonal, leadership, communication, and problem solving skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud.
At least two years of experience in a product manager, project management or business analyst role.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: The recommended hiring range is $92,000 – $104,600. Commensurate with experience.

This position requires occasional up to frequent non-standard and/or on-call work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
