Job Description
The Security organization protects Block while allowing the company to take principled risks. This includes ensuring teams involved in Infrastructure Security have the support they need to run predictably all while minimizing friction. Block Security requires understanding, prioritization and project tracking across multiple teams to provide our security services at scale.
You will develop frameworks to evaluate and mitigate risk with Security teams, product teams, and analysts to manage processes and requests. You will directly shape programs and tools to allow teams to make reasonable trade-offs that allow them to work securely.

You will:
You’ll partner with Infosec Infrastructure engineering to manage large-scale programs to improve the scalability, capability, and efficiency of the organization across including: Platform initiatives, BeyondCorp, workload migrations, tooling, metrics, and documentation.
You’ll work with teams to establish processes and reviews to support prioritization and measure progress.
Bring multiple/concurrent projects to completion, including schedule, budget and resource management.
Implement PMO processes and standards
Communicate program status across our team and Block, while managing diverse relationships across Product, Engineering, Operations, and analytics.
Partner with other TPMs within Security and partner teams to establish a clearly defined and managed path forward.
Participate in quarterly and annual planning for the Security PMO

Qualifications

5 or more years of project management experience.
Experience tailoring PMO standards and processes for engineering teams.
You operate independently, and demonstrate the ability to set and manage expectations to meet established goals.
Technical background and an understanding of general infrastructure how data centers and public clouds work and operate. (AWS/GCP)
Experience setting up project schedules and breaking down engineering work across multiple teams and delivery dates.
Experience interpreting and communicating technical requirements with all stakeholders.
[Bonus] Programming Experience writing shipping code and/or work experience managing engineering teams
[Bonus] Direct experience working in Infrastructure Security engineering organizations
