As a lead engineer, you serve as the technical anchor for the team that engineers a product. You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of product/service (or both). You have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of standing up an architecture in its whole on your own, but you choose to influence a wider team by acting as a “force multiplier”.

Experience:
8+ years of experience in technology development or services.
2+ years of experience in strategic planning and setting technical direction.
Has demonstrated success in providing enterprise technical direction and solving complex technical problems in more than one technical or functional areas
Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
Has excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills to convey complex technical solutions clearly to an organization
Stays current with new and evolving technologies via training(formal and self-directed)
Innovated mindset – willingness to push new ideas into the organization
Experienced in product development/management
Experience with infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment, monitoring/telemetry, logging, reporting/dashboarding and continuous delivery technologies
Technical Skills:
Experience with Java/J2EE, REST API development
Experience developing microservices/application frameworks (Ratpack/ Spring Boot), preferably Ratpack
Experience with NoSQL DB (Cassandra, Elasticsearch)
UI/UX development experience with ReactJS/Praxis/Angular
Experience with development testing frameworks (Junit/Mockito)
Experience with open-source logging and reporting solutions such as: Logstash, Elasticsearch and Kibana/Grafana
Experience with continuous integration and deployment technologies such as: Jenkins CI, and Artifactory
Experience with programming/scripting languages: Ruby/Go/Python/Perl/bash
Qualifications:
