Sutherland is seeking an attentive and analytical person to join us as a Python Developer with experience of working with tesseract (Tesseract open source OCR engine), OpenCV, Pandas. Should have experience in development and deployment of OCR engine using python programs. We are a group of dynamic and driven individuals. Responsibilities:
Keep management updated: Relay vital information in the form of timely and accurate reportsImpact the bottom line: Produce solid and effective strategies based on accurate and meaningful data reports and analysis and/or keen observationsDefine Sutherland’s reputation: Oversee and manage performance and code quality to guarantee minimal or zero errors and that has reusability and general reliability with proper coding standards.Strengthen relationships: Establish and maintain communication with clients and/or team members; understand needs, resolve issues, and meet expectationsTake the lead: Design and develop an intelligent OCR engine that works across platforms and capable of extracting text from Structured, unstructured or semi-structured PDF documents.

To succeed in this position, you must:
Prior experience in development and deployment of OCR engine using Python programsExperience in data extraction using OCR libraries from PDFS containing scanned images including image quality improvement, error detection.Work experience using Pytesseract will be a big plus.Good knowledge on OpenCV and ability to analyze and manipulate data using PandasKnowledge of SQL, work experience in Hadoop and full stack development experience will be added advantageBe able to adjust quickly and smoothly to changing priorities and conditionsHave ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make suggestions for improvementsHave strong analytical skills; be able to interpret data, identify trends, and make suggestions for improvementsBe pro-active in developing trust and professional rapport with employees and team members; work as a team-playerHave strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate in a clear, constructive, and professional manner
