Job Description : Part Qualified Accountant – 35 hours per week – Monday to FridayWho are we?We are an established firm of chartered accountants and registered auditors with offices in Perth and Crieff. At Finlaysons we understand the pressures involved in running a business and are thus well-equipped to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.What are we looking for?We are looking for an enthusiastic Part Qualified Accounts/Qualified by Experience to join our team. You will be responsible for the preparation of financial accounts and tax returns for select clients from prime records, manual records, spreadsheets and desktop and cloud accounting software. You may also be required to assist with audit assignment fieldwork testing.What are the duties and responsibilities?· Analysis of Client Records· Liaising with client to obtain any missing/unclear information· To ensure you record all accounting adjustments required to produce financial accounts and tax returns· Ensure the correct disclosure of items in the accounts in accordance with UK GAAP· Reconciliation of all control accounts· Preparation of year end working papers file· Highlight any transactions for review where the correct treatment is unclear· Maintain and update client system notes covering your areas of responsibility as and when necessary· Preparation of business tax computation and or/return and personal tax computation and/or return for business owners· Preparation of Accounts and Tax Returns (Business and Personal) for Grade 1 & 2 Clients· Detailed analytical Review of Accounts and identification of tax saving measures· Sending Final packages for client approvalWho are we looking for?We are looking for someone who:Ø Has a degree/college level accounting qualificationØ Has experience of working in a similar type of roleØ Has the ability to effectively prepare a set of financial accounts for select clients from prime records.Ø Is confident using systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero etc.Ø Shares the core values of the CompanyØ Works well in a team as well as independentlyØ Who is excellent at time management and meeting deadlinesØ Feels comfortable requesting information, seeking explanations and challenging client assertionsWhat will you get in return from us?§ A competitive salary§ Company pension scheme§ 31 days holiday per annumPlease apply via indeed with a copy of your CV and covering letter.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to Friday
