Our Control Center’ Engineering Team develops our integrated web interface and APIs into products, services and platforms. Working collaboratively and encompassing the full engineering cycle, we’re constantly innovating to deliver for our customers. Our contribution is critical to the success of our customers’ and Akamai’s business.
Work with the latest technology
As a SDET II, you will work closely with all stakeholders to deliver high quality software. You will collaborate cross-functionally across teams to build automation framework that supports end-to-end use case tests. You’ll ensure quality code releases that are resilient, scalable, and performing optimally on our state-of-the-art infrastructure
As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:
Designing and developing web-based applications for Akamais internal and external customers utilizing Java based components and tools
Using software development skills to develop and maintain test automation tools and frameworks
Understanding product requirements and ensuring that they are covered as part of the implementation
Collaborating and influencing through code reviews, design process, process improvements and product development
Creating and executing functional (integration, system) and non-functional (usability, performance, security) tests.

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience developing automation using the frameworks built on Java, Webservices & TestNG. Knowledge of database is good to have.
Have an understanding and usage of tools like Postman, JMeter and Jenkins.
Have an understanding and usage of version control tools like Perforce and git.
Have to be passionate about quality, finding defects and breaking applications
Have ability to visualize a feature end-to-end with attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
