Job Description
Our People Technology team is looking for a Sr. Manager in Bangalore for delivering state-of-the-art Learning Solutions under the umbrella of Visa University. You will be a key player to bring the learning experience to life for our employees and our clients. You will report to the Director of Learning Technology in Austin.
In this role you will build and lead a technical team to design, develop and deploy N-tier software solutions that integrate with 3rd party SaaS vendors. There will be significant collaboration with business partners, multiple Visa IT teams and 3rd-party vendors. The ideal candidate will bring energy and enthusiasm to evolve our People Technology platforms, be able to easily understand business goals/requirements and be forward thinking to identify opportunities that may be effectively resolved with technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Hire the best technical talent with diverse background and give them opportunities to grow and flourish.
2. Deliver lasting, scalable, and secure solutions that offer delightful user experiences.
3. Oversee integrations, configurations, customizations with SaaS vendor solutions.
4. Lead solution teams from design through delivery, encouraging technical leaders to enforce best practices around SDLC to deliver high-quality and highly resilient solutions.
5. Participate in technology project delivery activities such as requirements finalization, estimation, architecture artifacts, design, development, testing, L1 support training, deployment, launch and post-launch readiness, and maintenance.
6. Apply your technology experience to ensure that the best technical solution is delivered on-time, as-promised.
7. Identify and overcome risks, blockers, and technology limitations to meet stakeholder expectations.
8. Be a strong influencer who values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, enjoys mentoring, and can explain complex topics in simple terms
9. Cultivate the culture of innovation within the organization by driving cross-collaboration
10. Use Agile methodology to deliver solutions.
11. Ensure quality standards through testing.
12. Meet Visa’s security standards.
13. Manage SaaS vendors to ensure business / tech standards are met.
14. Communicate regularly with stakeholders.
15. Sustain existing solutions and promote ideas that mature existing solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 8 years of experience in product development/implementation with a degree in computer science, engineering, or similar
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
Minimum 5 years of proven track record of managing technical staff and delivering enterprise solutions
Experience working with learning & development SaaS solutions like Degreed, Cornerstone, Watershed, Pluralsight, Lynda, Safari and others.Demonstrated examples of impacting individuals and teams via career growth and exposureHands-on experience in developing N-Tier enterprise applications.Experience with secure development principles and Microsoft Azure SSOExperience with highly available, highly secure, highly resilient cloud-based enterprise solutionsExperience with multi-user cloud-based enterprise solutions that deal with SaaS vendor integrationsExperience working with technologies such as Python, SQL, SOA, SOAP, REST, SAML, OAuth, JWT, WSL, Web technologiesExposure to software and architectural design patterns and governing principlesPrior programming experience with C# .Net/ Core, Microsoft stack, Windows Server, Azure, IIS, ASP, MVCExperience with front-end development with Angular or other technologiesExperience managing / controlling budgets
