The Role Responsibilities
Manage complex business reporting requirements from gathering to refinement to realisation; looking for opportunities to standardise and simplify by critically prioritising between regulatory and legal requirements against business processes.
Documentation of detailed requirements based on technical build and business user standard operating procedures.
Understanding and challenging design based on the business case benefits of solutions via reporting or via the core tool – managing change requests through structured programme governance.
Set the standards for all projects to follow, user story creation, impact assessment etc. through business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the Functional and Non-Functional requirements in the stories.
Contribute to underlying business process discovery, analysis, reengineering and documentation. Matching process design with business goals, user stories/experience and functional capability.
Ensure Requirement Traceability Matrix is updated to facilitate tracking of requirements coverage.
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plan.
Guide the product owner in creating user stories and acceptance criteria, in a clear and unambiguous style.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements
Serve as a conduit between the customer community (Key Stakeholders and end-users) and the software development team through which requirements flow; Ensure developers understand the context of the changes and impact to any downstream and upstream systems.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs; Understand system technical limitations at a high level.
Highlight risks to the PM before they become issues so they can be tracked.
Review SIT defects prior to the start of UAT in conjunction with Scrum Delivery Manager.
Involvement in UAT test phase; helping with or even leading on test strategy creation, guiding users and supporting /analysing user queries.
Job Purpose
The candidate will be responsible for analysing business reporting requirements (user stories), providing impact assessments, dependencies and functional requirements to marry with the user stories in synergy with the strategic future target operating model for the workforce management analytics team. Other responsibilities include assisting with process discovery, analysis, reengineering/redesign and documentation. Also guiding developers and testers throughout the SDLC phases and tracing requirements from development to delivery, validating that the delivered system is fit for purpose.
Scope of the Role:
Support Head, Programme Management Office to co-ordinates management of the Project/ Programme, providing support to the Project/ Programme Manager as required on Project/ Programme Management related processes;
Support Head, Programme Management Office to work closely with PMs and the regional/local teams on financial management, project planning, overall project governance and various management reporting.
Our Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity.
Agile methodology and practice.
Understanding of Jira and confluence.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ownership of issues.
Exposure to database management preferred.
Practical experience generating process documentation and report.
Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to make good/sound decisions and use independent judgment.
Time management skills.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to adapt to different styles according to target audience.
Ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders, internal resources.
Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio.
Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management.
Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions.
Extensive experience with data visualization.
Highly proficient technical writing capabilities.
