About the role
As the ICT Operational Readiness & Change Lead, you will be accountable for supporting successful delivery of ICT-managed projects by leading the development of operational readiness assessments and plans as well as associated change management, communications, release readiness and transition activities. You will provide expert advice to Program Managers, external vendor Project Managers and other senior ICT and business stakeholders to ensure that the change process and the impact to the business has been considered.
You will use your stakeholder engagement skills, methods, tools and experience in developing and implementing operational readiness, organisational change, communications, release readiness, and transition strategies, to ensure successful outcomes for ICT projects. You will manage a small team to undertake the following responsibilities:
Provide expert operational readiness, change management, communications and release readiness advice to ICT (including external partners) throughout the project lifecycle and the delivery of ICT operational maintenance activities
Maintain and implement operational readiness assessments and solutions, change management and communications requirements, plans, strategies, toolkits and other artefacts for the delivery of ICT projects, in accordance with Queensland Rail frameworks, methodologies and tools, and to provide support and guidance to ICT teams in the use of those tools
Build operational readiness, change management and communications capability by providing coaching and training to ICT teams, external vendor project teams and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and transition of ICT projects
Develop and maintain effective business relationships, and through those relationships, maintain currency of key business operations contacts, stakeholders and escalation paths for all areas of Queensland Rail operations
Facilitate workshops, involving a diverse range of ICT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and agreed outcomes
Monitor and report on the success of business readiness, communications and change activities, escalate unresolved issues and ensure that lessons are carried into future projects
About the candidate
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills, encompassing high level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, problem solving, relationship building and negotiation skills
Extensive experience of best practice operational readiness, release readiness, communications, change management strategies, processes and techniques within an ICT environment in a large and diverse organisation
High level of communication skills, both written and verbal tailored to different target audiences
High level of familiarity and knowledge of project management ideally in the delivery of ICT projects
The starting salary on offer for this role is $123,515 plus Super !
