Job Description : Job Role: Payroll and Pensions Advisor

Reports to: Payroll Manager

Location: Northampton

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum, plus bonus scheme and benefits

Position type: Permanent

Role Purpose: To support the Payroll Manager in ensuring the outsourced payroll service is managed and the level of service provided is optimised including the delivery of all retained services and projects are executed in a professional and timely manner. Act as an escalation point for HR Services to answer pay related queries. Manage pension administration with their pension provider.

As the Payroll and Pensions Adviser you’ll support the Payroll Manager to ensure the outsourced payroll service is managed and the level of service provided is optimised. This includes the delivery of all retained services and ensuring projects are executed in a professional and timely manner. You’ll be an escalation point for HR Services and business managers to answer pay related queries and provide specialist advice. As part of the role you’ll manage pension administration with the pension provider.

Our client is looking for demonstrable experience working in a role undertaking UK payroll administration with experience of using payroll/ pensions systems. You’ll be committed to providing a high standard of customer care and build and maintain strong relationships across the business.

You’ll have a problem solving mindset and will look for ways to improve processes and procedures. A good communicator both verbally and written you’ll be willing to learn and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.

Experience:

Commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer care
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customer peers
Relevant experience of UK payroll administration

Skills:

Ability to work in a fast moving, dynamic environment
IT literate
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Willingness to learn and contribute to a positive working atmosphere
Flexible in relation to tasks and work extent
Good cooperation skills and team player, ability to follow tight deadlines
Business minded and alert to customer’s needs
Proactive in improving processes and procedures
Problem solving mindset & positive attitude
