Job Description
New Payment Flows (NPF) division’s charter is to capture new sources of money movement through card and non-card flows, including Visa Business Solutions, Government Solutions and Visa Direct which presents an enormous growth opportunity. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.
The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) and Visa Government Solutions (VGS) team is a world-class technology organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand products into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting team to join as we expand globally.
As we embark on this journey, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering for the Visa Business Solutions group in Bangalore.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Provide technical leadership and oversight to a team of software engineers.
Play a crucial role in interfacing with business stakeholders to define solutions and requirements, prioritize, and drive execution using agile methodologies.
Ensure developed solutions adhere to established architectural best patterns and target state.
Drive selection of new technologies and influence architectural target state.
Foster the culture of CI/CD, Automation and Shift-Left
Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities. Drive productivity through engineering fundamentals and best practices.
Hire and manage top engineering talent, provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to your staff.
Create an engineering culture of creativity and innovation

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field, 10+ years of software industry work experience.Delivered complex projects where complexity is a function of a combination of these factors – domain knowledge, distributed architecture, technical stack, influencing and collaborating with multiple technology and business partnersTechnical hands-on experience and proficiency with Java, Experience working with frameworks like Spring, Spring boot, Angular/React.
Strong understanding of architecture patterns like Microservices and operational characteristics of highly available and scalable applications.Experience with containerization and Docker is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, grow, retain and lead high-caliber technical talent.Excellent knowledge of core engineering best practice and passion to implement these across his/her team.Longer-term strategic thinking and staying ahead of state-of-the-art curve mindset.
