Job Description : Senior Model Steward Partner – Data & Model Governance (D&MG) Team
Join us as we work to transform Thomson Reuters into a truly data-driven company.
This is a key role, within our Data and Model Governance (DMG) team and working out of one of our global offices in Bangalore.
The Senior Model Steward Partner is a central role, coordinating and collaborating with a distributed Data and Model Stewards Network to ensure that our Model Policies, Standards and Ethics Framework are defined, implemented and monitored effectively within our critical business domains.
You will act as an internal consultant and model governance champion for a defined portfolio of projects as we embed our model stewardship and continually improve our model governance and processes across the enterprise.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Senior Model Steward Partner, you will:
Act as a model governance consultant and educator on model projects
Ensure end-end model flows within these projects are aligned and controlled effectively
Ensure that Policies, Standards and Guiding Principles are applied within the solution designs
Work with cross-functional model stewards to monitor and manage model health within your portfolio
Take ownership of the model issue management and resolution process within your portfolio
Collaborate with members in the business domains to encourage and ensure D&MG practices, processes and procedures are followed
Drive education/behavioural change in the wider TR community, towards a de-centralized data rights & responsibilities culture
Work with the D&MG teams (Operations & Assurance, Policy & Ethics, Stewardship) to draft or amend policies, standards and model control proposals, to meet business model needs
Work with the D&MG team to drive best practices and compliance with model policies and standards within your portfolio
Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, advancements and automation
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Model Steward Partner if you meet all or most of these criteria:
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ year experience in one or more of Models (AI/ML), Analysis and/or Technology roles
Experience applying collaborative problem-solving, negotiation and change activist skills
Process analysis skills, with ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans
Thorough understanding of model and systems infrastructures
Thorough understanding of model quality management
Technical skills in exploring, analyzing, profiling, manipulating data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx…)
