As a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for testing features to ensure functionality and quality. You will collaborate with your team to ensure our testing processes are thorough and to identify improvements and enhancements. You will be able to develop your skill set quickly in a fast-moving environment.
As a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Developing software, firmware, and hardware to test embedded systems covering all aspects of functionality and performance.
Setting up and operate test environments including software and hardware tools, laboratory instrumentation and simulators to perform functionality testing.
Working with development team to define acceptance criteria and test cases.
Developing automated test sequences using test automation tools and scripting languages.
Executing manual and automated test cases.
Analyzing carefully and document test results.
Providing feedback on usability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned stakeholders.
Assisting in troubleshooting system problems.
Driving standardized testing processes and continuously improve with the team.
Working in close collaboration with engineers of other disciplines and product development teams located worldwide.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have Bachelor’s in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum of 4+ yrs of technical experience in testing and/or developing embedded systems products.
Have hands-on testing and debugging skills and familiarity with performance testing and test management.
Have experience in programming on C, C++.Experience in scripting languages like Windows/DOS batch files, VB Script.
Have experience working with circuits, microcontrollers/embedded systems, FPGA.
Have experience with test infrastructure such as LabView/National Instruments/PXI/Test Stand.
Have experience in UI Test Automation on Windows platform using White, Microsoft Coded UI, or similar technologies.
Have exposure to Software and Tools: Cygwin, Wire shark, UI Spy, XML, XML RPC Basic understanding of network protocol – Ethernet/ IP/ TCP/ UDP/ HTTP/ Familiarity with Industrial protocols like Modbu.
Be able to understand the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product.
