JOB TITLE
Senior Developer – Java and Db design
ROLE
As member of the “Cloud Delivery and Engineering Services” team you are expected to:
Collaborate with the senior developers, architecture community and product management that deeply understands customer scenarios to crystallize technical specifications for features that are scalable and performant.Demonstrate excellent quality, design, development and delivery skills in scrum teams working in short development and release cycles.Perform code reviews and active participation in maintaining the engineering standards.Develop best practices for database design and development activities, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.Perform daily analysis of databases and fix any issues related to performance and drive corrective measures.Contribute to the maturation of DevOps for Cloud Integration with tooling/automation and troubleshooting skills. Active contribution to LIVE SITE issues.Work with geographically distributed teams seamlessly
EXPERIENCE
Engineering degree (BTech, MTech) in Computer Science or a related subject Strong analytical and problem-solving skills8 to 12 years of experience in Java and its related technologies like Core Java 1.8, Spring Boot, JDBC, JMS and RESTHands on experience in relational database systems such as Sybase ASE and PostgreSQLGood understanding of java design patterns, data structures, database design, schema standards, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenanceDocumenting and resolving technical risks by contributing specific recommendations for improving database performance, stability, reliability, availability, and/or maintainability of applicationsAdhering to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policiesAbility to work in a cross functional team environment with minimal supervision. Analyze design and evaluate current data processes. Create well designed efficient SQL by using best development and architecture practicesGood knowledge of OOAD, algorithms, multithreading, programming best practicesOS and runtime experience (Linux, Windows, JVM, Web servers, Servlet Containers)Well versed in software engineering principles, frameworks, Agile MethodologiesExtensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.

Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform (Cloud Foundry) DevelopmentExposure to Microservices based applications, Containers and Spring bootDevOps mindset – inherent sense of ownership through the development and deployment lifecycleUnderstanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and/or AJAXFamiliarity with the top OWASP threats and experience in mitigating theseKnowledge of OData bindings into SAPUI5
