Job Description : Deliver business value through Right and Fast partnership The Sr. PSR (Performance Scalability and Reliability) engineer owns all test coordination, planning, and execution of performance test scripts for Honeywell products. The Sr. PSR engineer should be able to design and enhance test framework as per the business requirements for the product he is assigned to. Participate in Sprint planning and release planning with Engineering teams to understand the PSR or NFRs and create PSR test cases from them. Measure and analyze performance data (workload, system and application) from production system and apply it to the product workload models. Participate in backlog refinement Participate in the design discussions for the Honeywell products Define acceptance criteria for performance testing when stories are created Analyze root causes of performance issues and provide corrective actions. Participate in performance tuning at OS, Infra, Application levels for the products he/ she is working on. Guide the PSR engineers as required Experience in Heap/Thread Dump
Message queue / Batch Job Performance testing
Suggest new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency. Communicate progress and issues through regular Status Reports Collaborate with Business/ Application teams to improve system performance
Academic and Certification Skills: Bachelor’s in Engineering in any Sciences or equivalent Good to have (not mandatory): Masters in Engineering in any Sciences or equivalent Good to have (not mandatory): Any cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google etc
Experience:
6-9 years of experience in the below: Performance Scalability and Reliability testing or PSR Performance tools like Jmeter, HP Loadrunner, SoapUI, Locust or equivalent Automation skills in Java, Python, Shell scripting, PL/SQL, C, C++ or equivalent App monitoring skills like AppDynamics, Dynatrace or equivalent Experience in Windows OS. Linux/ Unix or equivalent is desirable. Agile methodology Databases like Oracle, MySQL or equivalent Experience in CI/CD tools – Jenkins Experience in Source Code Management tools – GitHub
Communication Skills
Hands-on design, analysis, development and troubleshooting of highly-distributed large-scale production systems and event-driven, cloud-based services Primarily Linux Administration, managing a fleet of Linux and Windows VMs as part of the application solutions Involved in Pull Requests for site reliability goals Advocate IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CaC (Configuration as Code) practices within Honeywell HCE
Ownership of reliability, up time, system security, cost, operations, capacity and performance-analysis
Monitor and report on service level objectives for a given applications services. Work with the business, Technology teams and product owners to establish key service level indicators. Ensuring the repeatability, traceability, and transparency of our infrastructure automation Support on-call rotations for operational duties that have not been addressed with automation Support healthy software development practices, including complying with the chosen software development methodology (Agile, or alternatives), building standards for code reviews, work packaging, etc. Create and maintain monitoring technologies and processes that improve the visibility to our applications’ performance and business metrics and keep operational workload in-check. Partnering with security engineers and developing plans and automation to aggressively and safely respond to new risks and vulnerabilities. Develop, communicate, collaborate, and monitor standard processes to promote the long-term health and sustainability of operational development tasks. Participate in technical training events, game day scenarios, and professional conferences
YOU MUST HAVE 5+ Years of experience in system administration, application development, infrastructure development or related areas 5+ years of experience with programming in languages like Javascript, Python, PHP, Go, Java or Ruby 3+ years of in reading, understanding and writing code in the same 3+ years Mastery of infrastructure automation technologies (like Terraform, CodeDeploy, Puppet, Ansible, Chef) 3+ years expertise in container/container-fleet-orchestration technologies (like Kubernetes, Openshift, AKS, EKS, Docker, Vagrant, etcd, zookeeper) 5+ years Cloud and container native Linux administration/build/management skills
