Introduction:

This role is to deliver the strategic HOF Technology programme of work which is delivered in an Agile way.
The primary function of this role is to work as a Senior Developer in the OF Technology team, working closely with other technical leads and architects to actively contribute to application design and deliver requirements raised by the HOF business.
This role is part of the global HOF Technology team that includes delivery and support staff in London and Pune.

What will you be doing?
The primary function of this role is to deliver the functionality requested by the HOF function by closely working with the development manager:
Rapidly learn applications in the HOF Technology environment
Work with architects and team leads to design & implement appropriate technical solutions
Design low-level technical solutions
Come up with effort estimates for assigned work
Write code and automated unit test cases as required
Collaborate with testers to analyse defects, verify behaviour, and resolve issues
Apply design & system architecture skills to ensure continual increase in performance and stability of the core system
Participate in design & code reviews
Follow Agile development processes defined for Technology team

What we’re looking for:
5 + Relevant years of Hands-on experience with Tableau/ QlikView
Knowledge of relational and dimensional database concepts and technologies, data warehousing, ETL tasks and their design patterns. Ability to develop, understand and execute SQL queries
Prior experience in any ETL tools (like Ab Initio, Informatica, Cognos) will be added advantage
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies as well as SDLC life-cycles and processes
Great communication and problem-solving skills, and a good team player

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience with CI and build tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, and Ant.
Promote Automation, reusable components
Financial project experience is preferred
Ability to understand business requirements and design software solutions.
Strong data analysis skills and ability to present the findings to the business users.
Demonstrable ability to communicate and build relationships with members of the business and technology communities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
