Qualification:
B.E. degree preferably in Electrical or Mechanical or allied engg. branch from a recognized University/Institution.
Professional experience:
Around 5 years of qualified industry experience in maintaining PLC based material handling (electro-mechanical) automation systems.
Your department:
India Innovation Centre (IIC) is Pune based Development Centre Equipment (DCE) test center (R&D test centre) house of conveyor-based automation solutions and several material handling equipments. These automation solutions are under 24×7 operational state. Key purpose of IIC is to monitor product performance, verify/validate newly developed products and timely upgrade them to technologically advance market requirements. IIC facility is also used for product demonstration to internal/external customers as well as to train new employees of Vanderlande.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Manage daily operation of IIC and facilitate maintenance of equipments commissioned.
Work in close co-operation with procurement, logistics and supply chain management teams.
Fully self-directed in installing, putting electro-mechanical equipment into operational condition.
Self-governing to work, time management and creates own planning.
Perform periodic refurbishment, inspection, corrective, and preventive maintenance actions on installed base.
Make a significant contribution in development, fixing and testing of multidisciplinary automated test setups.
Manage and supervise sub-contracted work, keep track on progress, planning and perform regular quality checks on Vanderlande standard requirements.
Record and monitor equipment under tests and related events occurring.
Able to reproduce the failure condition and help analyze the fault finding and perform root cause analysis.
Gather product performance data and timely convey information to internal stakeholders.
Detect recurring issues, categorize problems identified and suggest optimal modifications by solving problems that surface during operations.
Support users during standard tests and product demo, also ensure that the Test Centre in-house rules are followed correctly.
Deliver instructions on how to use test equipment and tools, also safeguard they are used in proper way.
Upkeeping installed base active documents as on date installation advancements and last alterations.
Maintain a constructive working relationship with the internal and external persons.
Skills:
Good oral and written communication skill – English language.
Knowledge of safety related parts of the controls systems and machine directives.
Knowledgeable to integrate hardware of PLC based automation schemes.
Knowledge of Electrical components, cabinets, and field wiring.
Knowledge of Mechanical components, motors, assemblies, fencing and machine parts.
Knowledge of MS office application (word, excel, outlook and teams app.).
Taking initiative, supportive, creativity and flexibility/adaptability.
Innovative mind-set and drive for continuous improvement.
Commercially strongminded.
People management – skilled technicians and/or contract employees.
