If you’re looking to be a part of a dynamic, highly-analytical team and an opportunity to hone your Golang and functional programming skills, look no further. As our Senior Software Engineer for the Experimentation Team, you will be handed the reins to build A/B tests analytical metric intelligent experimentation platform for Gojek. Along with building services to join billions of rows over millions of data points in Google’s BigQuery, you will be in charge of automating scalable & intelligent business metric attribution systems for rolling out features on GoJEK App and evolve architecture ingesting billions of clickstream events per day. Working closely with the data catalog team, data engineers and data scientists, you will get to contribute to the system that runs meaningful experiments for GoJEK. The cherry on top: you’ll get to be a part of a team that works to provide APIs for GoJEK’s millions of users and driver partners to use.
What you’ll need:
At least 4 years of relevant software development experience.
A Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer science or similar
Proficient in Golang
Strong understanding in either of HTTP or gRPC protocol and serialization formats like protobuf
Excellent attitude and passion working in a team with willingness to learn
Experience in building low latency, high volume REST API requests handling
Experience in working with relational databases (like postgres)
Experience in working in distributed caches like Redis
Experience in containerization technologies like docker, kubernetes
Experience working in any cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.,) preferably GCP
Ability to Get Stuff Done!
What you’ll do:
Act as an engineer that enjoys writing readable, concise, reusable, extensible code every day
Perform code reviews, tests, deploy & diagnose production issues
Design and implement scalable, reliable, secure and fault tolerant backend systems
Discuss, articulate requirements with product management and scope, execute the feature road map
Research new technologies and tools that enable building the next generation systems
Participate in team’s hiring process by being a panelist in interviews
Bonus points if:
Experience working in A/B test platform, metric framework or computation systems at scale
Worked with clojure, gRPC
Experience in distributed processing frameworks like spark and NoSQL stores (like Cassandra,Clickhouse, BigQuery)
