Kevin’s Natural Foods grew over 220% last year alone and we haven’t cleared our plate yet. We believe good food can be a powerful force for change, and that a powerful and passionate Controller can help us scale our financial capabilities through our next course.As Controller of Kevin’s Natural Foods, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of accounting including the preparation of the financial statements, maintenance and implementation of adequate systems for accounting, and a comprehensive set of controls to ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for establishing accounting policies and procedures that ensure financial statements are in compliance with GAAP accounting principles.Responsible for the preparation of financial statements, month-end, and year-end closing processes.Supervision of A/R, A/P, and primary responsibility for the general ledger.Maintains chart of accounts, prepares all month end journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.Prepares and supervises semi-annual physical inventory count.Prepares required regulatory reporting and internal reports.Researches inventory cost variances to standard on a monthly basis.Partner with the CFO, external auditors & other stakeholders to create financial records, controls and processes that positions Kevin for a successful IPO in the future.Work with teams across the company to identify, design and implement control and process improvements.Cash Management.Other duties as assigned or necessary.Qualifications: Master or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.10+ years of progressively relevant experience.An entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset, with the experience to continuously improve.Excellent analytical skills, with hands-on expertise in financial and operations analysis in a food manufacturing setting.Demonstrated business partnering skills with exceptional presentation and communication skills with all levels of an organization.Strong working knowledge of ERP and accounting systems.Competencies: Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.Maintains confidentiality.Remains open to other’s ideas and tries new things and shares expertise with others.Gives and welcomes feedback while applying feedback to improve performance.Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
