Job Description : This position is responsible for financial analysis and reporting related to Saint-Gobain NorPro Bryan facility. The position is very hands-on requiring preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of inventories, and the accumulation, analysis, and reporting of manufacturing and financial data. A solid understanding of manufacturing and accounting concepts, integrated accounting systems and ability to analyze data are keys to successful performance in this position. Full understanding and compliance with company accounting and reporting policies is critical to the position. Ability to work within deadlines is required.Month-End Closing – perform a wide range of activities related to month-end closing – preparation of journal entries, monthly inventory reconciliations, allocations, and expense reasonability analysis.Analysis and Reporting – review and report on monthly financial results: gross margin analysis, profit variance analysis, and manufacturing volume and spending variances analysis. Prepare and distribute monthly key performance indicators report.Manufacturing Processes and Controls – analyze changes in the production process and the related impact(s) on materials, labor, energy, and other cost elements.Budgeting and Forecasting – Participate in the development of the annual manufacturing budget. Update standard and overhead costs in the bill-of-materials and develop product line standard costs.Financial Controls – provide guidance in the development of business controls, reviewing to ensure compliance with SG Internal Controls Reference Framework (ICRF) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
