DESCRIPTION
Team Profile
The Currency Management Renovation project team is renovating the Currency Risk Management process and systems (the ?HERA? process) with multiple phases of the project being implemented during 2021, 2022 and 2023. The team is part of the Global GCC Change team.

About the role
The role is Mumbai based and is part of the Finance and IT Agile squad across Mumbai and London, reporting functionally into a vice president in the London Global Corporate Controllers Change team. The role involves engagement with a wide range of stakeholders across Finance and IT globally.

The role will involve ownership for discrete components of the overall project including:
? analysis of current state and requirements gathering
business process modelling
providing stakeholder updates
writing functional requirements/User Stories
liaising with IT to communicate requirements and agree technical design
defining test plans
supporting users and dedicated testing resources in test execution
input into the development of necessary training material
dealing with currency related ad hoc queries, testing and production issues as they arise in support Currency Renovation

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Qualified accountant or solid understanding and experience with accounting concepts and entries within the context of an investment bank
Sound understanding of data flows through Finance systems i.e. how data flows from transaction initiation through to the Subledger, through to GL and the corresponding accounting entries and control points (possibly gained through Product Control or related roles)
Experience of working on change projects (i.e. understanding of a project lifecycle)
Strong analytical and modelling skills – able to summarise and draw logical conclusions based on sound quantitative and qualitative analysis
Attention to detail and accuracy e.g. whilst producing analysis and in designing, executing and documenting testing
Excellent planning and organizational skills and proven ability to work under pressure
Able to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data in in an efficient way, and comfortable producing presentations/diagrams
Self-confident, with good written and oral communication skills e.g. comfortable hosting stakeholder and IT updates
Eager to learn, comfortable asking questions and challenging status quo

Beneficial:

Previous experience in Currency accounting (FX revaluation, FX translation) and currency risk management, preferably within the Banking industry
Familiarity with Agile Project management methodology
